The “Bugs Director” piece is the first installment of the Vintage Cartoon Series, which is a progression of vintage imagery taken from classic Warner Bros. placards.

These placards were used in the 1930s through to the ‘60s for promotion of upcoming Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes cartoons.

Close attention has been paid to the background of this fine art piece to capture the style and detail within the original.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bob Clampett was an American animator, director, producer and puppeteer known for his work on the Looney Tunes animated series from Warner Brothers.  Clampett was promoted to a directorial position in 1937 and during his fifteen years at the studio, directed 84 cartoons later deemed classic and designed some of the studio's most famous characters, including Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and Tweety.
