Included are sixteen (16) glossy black-and-white captioned photographs of scenes from the film, a 14-page Production Handbook with background information on the making of the film, and biographical essays of Dick Van Dyke (4 pages) and Nancy Kwan (3).
Lt. Crusoe is a U.S. Navy pilot who must ditch his airplane in the Pacific and relates his tale of a year on a tropical island. In Dave Smith's Disney A to Z it is described as a humorous story "involving Floyd, a chimpanzee who is an astrochimp; Wednesday, a beautiful native girl; some lovely maidens; some menacing warriors; and a harrowing escape from the island by helicopter." For those motivated to see this delightful movie it is currently available on DVD.
