This Spring, 1973 issue of Disney News celebrates the 50th anniversary of the founding of Walt Disney Productions in 1923. The single, 19-page illustrated feature article is entitled simply "Walter Elias Disney," and is devoted to WDP's co-founder, with brother Roy O., and inspirational leader until his passing in 1966. It quotes Walt extensively and chronicles WDP's achievements in animated and live-action filmmaking, television, and the theme parks to date. There are over 100 black-and-white photographs and illustrations.

The last two pages detail ticket books and prices, vacation stays, and special benefits for Magic Kingdom Club members. The back cover displays Disneyland and Walt Disney World opening hours and events for March, April and May, 1973.
