Disney Tokyo Disneyland Early All-Color 24-page Promotional Book for Sponsors, Bound in Folder, 1977
Tokyo Disneyland (1977)
24-page, 11" x 8.5" book bound in 12" x 9.25" three-panel folder
This early promotional book was prepared by Walt Disney Productions six years before the opening of Tokyo Disneyland for distribution to potential sponsors and participants who would provide support for attractions and/or operate retail locations in the Park.
The all-color-illustrated 24-page book is bound inside an embossed, die-cut, three panel folder with gold-color printing. A one-page Introduction leads into nine sections that present the story of Walt Disney Productions, Disneyland and Walt Disney World followed by an overview of developments in Japan, conceptual plan and description of the Park, the potential sponsor's involvement, and comments from current participants at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
It offered participants "exclusivity, meaning there will be only one participant in certain major product categories...the opportunity to expose your corporate and product story to a number of publics...exposure of your company and its message under the most favorable of circumstances...the opportunity to provide VIP treatment for your individual customers and customer groups."
